More about Trappist ales

Since 1884, the Koningshoeven Brewery brews La Trappe Trappist ale on the premises of the Onze Lieve Vrouw of Koningshoeven Cistercian abbey. Although the La Trappe ales vary greatly from one another, they also have similarities. Each is a pure ale. Unique ales brewed with patience, passion and traditional craftsmanship according to the very secretive recipes of the Trappist monks.

In the hustle and bustle of our modern life, silence and serenity may be more valuable than material possessions. Time for yourself, a moment of reflection, is something that nowadays we must consciously search for and create. And we often fail to do so. Silence is a rare and healing ingredient that we miss far too often. The silence that begins with attention. The silence of La Trappe.
