La Trappe renews its cycle route
On Monday 23 April 2013, the La Trappe cycle route was reopened at the Tasting Room.
The official opening was conducted by Thijs Thijssen, director of De Koningshoeven Brewery and Guus van der Wolde, director of Vrijetijdshuis Brabant. The La Trappe cycle route has been around for 15 years now. On 3 May 1996, De Koningshoeven Brewery presented the route to the province of Noord-Brabant to celebrate its 200th anniversary. The cycle route has two different routes, one of 30km and one of 60km, taking cyclists through Tilburg, Moergestel, Oisterwijk, Oirschot, Hilvarenbeek and other places. The route map also shows a large number of cafes and restaurants where cyclists can enjoy a glass of La Trappe as well as Brabant’s hospitality. The cycle route maps are now available at the Tasting Room, the Monastery Shop, and various tourist offices in the region.
