1. General Conditions pertaining to the Tasting Room and the Tours

1.1       Conditions pertaining to visits
- Smoking is only permitted at the terrace of the tasting room. 
- Costume parties are not permitted at grounds of the Koningshoeven brewery.
- Filming is not permitted during the tour.
- During the tour, the visitor must act in compliance with the legal norms, in particular ones pertaining to public order and the accepted rules of decency applicable to the nature of the activity. Furthermore, the visitor is obliged to follow the instructions of the staff of the Tasting Room and Brewery.
- A visitor who has made a reservation on behalf of other persons is obliged to apply the visiting conditions to the other persons.
- Due to hygienic rules in the brewery, dogs and other pets are not permitted during the tours.

1.2       Accessibility
Disabled persons are certainly welcome. Unfortunately, the old brewery building is not accessible to them, but the film should more than compensate for this.

1.3       Use of alcohol
- Alcoholic beverages are permitted only to persons over the age of 18.
- Proof of identity is mandatory.

1.4       Liability
Parents or chaperones of children are responsible at all times for them and are liable for their conduct. Teachers and chaperones of groups are responsible for their groups and are liable for their conduct.

1.5       Prices
The Tasting Room and De Koningshoeven Brewery are authorised to change their prices.

2. Payment and cancellation conditions of the tours

2.1       Payment conditions
Payment shall occur in advance only via iDeal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Bancontact/MrCash.

2.2       Cancellation conditions
- You may change or cancel your reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before your visit.
- Changes or cancellation must be submitted by email or by telephone: or 013-5722650.
- In case ofiDEAL and Bancontact/Mister Cash payments, the amount of the cancelled reservation will be returned to you within 2 business days. In the case of credit card payments, repayment can take up to 4 weeks, depending on your credit card company.
- In case of partial or full cancellation within 48 hour prior to your reservation, or after your reserved time slot, partial or full compensation is no longer possible.

3. Terms and conditions for gift vouchers

In addition to our general terms and conditions, these terms and conditions for gift vouchers also govern all gift vouchers issued by La Trappe Trappist. By using a La Trappe Trappist gift voucher you thereby agree to be bound by, and comply with, these terms and conditions for gift vouchers.

3.1 Purchase of gift vouchers
- La Trappe Trappist does not check the information supplied. The customer is therefore responsible for supplying the correct information. 
- La Trappe Trappist is not liable for loss resulting from failure to receive a gift voucher in time or at all as a result of any delay or loss in the post.
- La Trappe Trappist is not liable for any failure to receive a gift voucher in time or at all as a result of the customer’s failure to provide a clear and correct address for delivery. 
- A gift voucher will only be supplied once. A gift voucher that is subsequently lost or expires after receipt will not be replaced or honoured, as the case may be.  
- Each gift voucher has a unique code. You should keep the gift voucher and unique code safe. No refund will be made in the case of theft (including the use of the code by unauthorised third parties) or loss. Only original gift vouchers and codes will be accepted.

3.2 Spending a gift voucher
- A gift voucher can be spent on, in the Tasting Room, and in Abbey the gift shop.
- You can spend an unlimited value and an unlimited number of gift vouchers per order, provided that these are lower in value than the value ordered. 
- La Trappe Trappist reserves the right not to accept a gift voucher until it receives the original gift voucher, and if it does not receive the original gift voucher to require money payment instead.    
- Gift vouchers or the remaining values thereof cannot be exchanged for money.  
- If the total value of an order is greater than the value of the gift voucher(s) used, the balance must be paid by means of one of the payment methods.   
- If the total value of the order is less than the value of the gift voucher(s) used, the gift voucher(s) may not be spent on line. They may, however, be spent in the Tasting Room or gift shop, but in such a case no refund will be made. 

3.3 Validity of gift vouchers
- The nature, expiry date, and/or other specific conditions for use are to be found on the gift vouchers. Every gift voucher is valid for a limited period. After its expiry date, a gift voucher can no longer be used.
- La Trappe Trappist gift vouchers for tours are valid for one year; their expiry date is printed on each gift voucher.
- La Trappe Trappist gift vouchers for €10, €15, and €25 are valid without limitation.
- It is not permitted to make any changes to a gift voucher or its scope, or to forge, or otherwise the working of gift vouchers (by hacking or otherwise).
- Any instance of fraud, or attempted fraud, or other prohibited act will be recorded and result in the refusal of acceptance of the gift voucher.
- Gift vouchers may be changed from time to time. We recommend that before spending a gift voucher you refer to these terms and conditions for gift vouchers. If you spend a gift voucher after a change has come into effect, you are deemed to have accepted the changes to the gift voucher.

4. Website conditions

By visiting and using this website, you declare that you accept the following conditions. If you cannot accept these conditions, do not use this website. This website is intended only for persons above the age of 18. You hereby declare that you are over the age of 18. The La Trappe Trappist website is intended for use by private consumers.
